Rock sub-strata prevents natural drainage of water. After any period of heavy or continuous rainfall, pilots intending to land or take-off at this aerodrome should establish the location of any significant standing water or mud patches by contacting the airfield coordinator on site.
Visiting pilots should note that during periods of prolonged rainfall the grass runway can become very soft especially during the winter months.
Runway 09/27: Graded hardcore runway is generally unsuitable for light aircraft with low ground/propeller clearance due to unstabilised surface and as a result it would be advisable to carry out any power checks on the tarmac apron before departure.
No private (non-commercial) flights are permitted within 15 minutes of any scheduled airline movement.
